Lisbon Sailing Map: the Four Docks

Lisbon's sailing boats leave from four docks along the north bank of the Tagus. Your meeting point is a gate, a van or a café, never just "the marina". Before you book a Tagus river sailing trip, find your dock here.

Four docks, six kilometres

From the Padrão dos Descobrimentos in Belém to the Sul e Sueste station downtown is about 6 km in a straight line. That is the distance between the listings' own map pins. On foot that is more than an hour, so do not plan to swap docks at the last minute.

West to east, the docks run like this:

• Belém: Doca de Belém by the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, and Doca do Bom Sucesso just west of it.
• Santo Amaro: the Doca de Santo Amaro, right under the 25 de Abril Bridge.
• Alcântara: the Doca de Alcântara, just east of the bridge.
• Downtown: the Sul e Sueste boat station beside Praça do Comércio.

The bridge sits between Belém and downtown: about 2 km from the Padrão and 4 km from the downtown station.

Belém: Doca de Belém and Doca do Bom Sucesso

The Belém boats meet at vans, not at the boats. The crew then walks you to the berth.

At Doca de Belém, look for a blue-and-white van with the operator's name on it, by the Padrão dos Descobrimentos. That operator asks you to type its own name into a map or taxi app, not the street.

At Doca do Bom Sucesso, you meet at a white van with a red flag in front of Gate 1. It parks next to the BP petrol station, close to the Vela Latina restaurant. Two different sails use the same van, so tell the crew which one you booked.

Type "Doca do Bom Sucesso" into your taxi app, not "Avenida Brasília": the operator asks for exactly that. Belém Tower stands a few hundred metres west of both docks.

Santo Amaro, under the bridge

The Doca de Santo Amaro sits directly below the 25 de Abril Bridge. Three meeting points share it, so read your booking for the right one.

The wine-and-history sail meets at Gate 1, in front of the tennis courts under the bridge. The sunset catamaran meets at door 3, near the Rui dos Pregos restaurant. The open-bar yacht boards from the Oceanic Lounge in Armazém 17, so you walk through the lounge to the boat.

One reviewer found the walking directions in a map app wrong for door 3. Leave ten spare minutes and look for the restaurant's name.

Alcântara: three gates on one quay

The Doca de Alcântara starts just east of the bridge. Its boats meet at numbered gates on the Rua da Cintura do Porto de Lisboa, and the gate number is the detail to check.

Gate 1 is about 50 metres past the Espaço Zarco café, and the private sail meets there too. At Gate 2, one operator sends you the exact berth by WhatsApp on the day. Gate 3, at Alcântara Norte, is the Blue Skipper café, close to the Docks night club.

From the city centre, one operator tells you to take the train from Cais do Sodré to Alcântara and walk about five minutes.

Downtown: Sul e Sueste

The traditional-boat cruise leaves from the Sul e Sueste boat station, next to Praça do Comércio. You meet inside the station, in front of ticket office 8.

One reviewer in May 2026 found that the operator no longer used the emailed meeting point. Check your confirmation on the day.

One sunset sail names no dock at all. Its map pin sits on the same riverfront, east of Praça do Comércio. If you book it, ask the operator where to go.
